24 Days - Day 7 - Building an Antenna in Lowes' Parking Lot

One of the tough things about building things is when you have to buy materials that are a big too long or a bit too big to fit easily in the car. Sometimes the solution is having the pieces cut at the hardware store. Other times, the solution is just to build your project in the parking lot of the hardware store.

24 Days - Day 6 - How Not to Buy Something Online

Some things are just hard to buy online for one reason or another.  A $2 piece of PVC pipe becomes an ordeal to buy, because it is expensive to ship because of its length and it is not the normal specs for PVC pipe.

24 Day - Day 5 - The Complexity of Getting a Simple PVC Pipe

24 Days - Day 4 - Where Have All the RadioShacks Gone?

RadioShack use to be the premiere place to buy cables, adapters and electronics parts.  In fact, it was really the only local store that carried resistors, capacitors, and switches in most areas.  RadioShack is pretty much gone now except for a minor online presence.  Its gone the way of Heath Kit, and to countless people who grew up going their to get parts for electronics projects it will be sorely missed.

24 Days - Day 3 - Haunted Colchester Road Overpass and Empty Parking Lots

Parking lots on Christmas Day often seem like post apocalyptic Twilight Zone episodes, so it seemed like a good idea to drive by a supposedly haunted overpass at night. Well, technically it was the tunnel underneath it, but if you want to get to precise, it probably isn't haunted either.
